Dear You [Bartels, Khan-Man, Amos Kite, B. Nieter, Michael Irving Beckner, Grungee Lunde, Frosh & Mini-Me Zealand, Brickhouse Gary, Bobby Hunt, Dan Rabe, Tony Sangueti, Sven Goran DiKarlosson, I-Sack Rattin, Josh Jones & yes...Austrian Steven Meiers]
It has come to the attention of the Distance Runner's Decathlon Historic Society that 2008 would make our event 10 years old.
Although the event has been poorly attended in recent years, we hope to breathe life anew into the old bird for one more heart-pounding, gatorade guzzling, spandex-stretching hurrah.
Consider a 2008 event a time to get together with the old crew, catch-up & discuss interesting life facts like: did you see that Josh Cox advert in Runner's World? Where do you work now? Still living with the parents eh? Married? Did you ever wind up killing a man? How did that whole gene-spreading thing go? What's that Frosh Z...what...How many times was that? Remember that Brian dude who stole the TV from WalMart? etc...
Oh yeah and we'll have the high-jump, the javelin & breadsticks again too...
...The thing is that we can't do it without YOU...so if you are interested in putting together a 2008 - 10th year anniversary edition of the DRD please contact the Distance Runner's Decathlon Historic Society by dialing 443.366.2916. before February 15th.
Let them know that you want the bring back the DRD !!!
That number again is 443.366.2916
Sincerely,
The Distance Runner's Decathlon Historic Society
